Upon a recommendation, I worked at Peninsula Players Theatre in Door County, Wisconsin. I was the Master Electrician for the two shows that ended their 2018 season. Those shows were Living on Love & Salvage. I was also the Head Bartender where I maintained inventory and quality control. Loved working in such a beautiful place!

I was excited to be part of a crew that worked for Great Lakes Fireworks, LLC in Michigan. During the 4th of July season, our crew put on five shows in different locations. I was tasked with setting up racks, handling the explosive product, and participated in wiring for each of the shows. This was a wonderful experience and I hope to return in the future!

I was the Assistant Master Electrician at Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. The Barter Theatre is recognized as The State Theatre of Virginia and has a long historic history. My main responsibility was the main stage space. I had daily duties such as running the shows, maintaining and running atmospheric and pyrotechnic effects, handled all repertory procedures between shows, and prepping and being present at all changeovers and tech days. The Barter Theatre also hosted third party events where I was responsible for designing and running the lighting for these extra features. My most memorable shows that I was a part of would be Peter & The Starcatcher and Mamma Mia!. During that time I also had the pleasure of lighting designing for The Barter Players, which my favorites would be: My Imaginary Pirate; Charlie & The Chocolate Factory; and The Neverending Story.

To me, this was my first career achievement in the theatre industry. I was the Electrician for Stage II at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, VA. This was my first full time position in a theatre setting. Stage II was a smaller venue that I alone was responsible for. Daily routine consisted of turning on the lighting system for the morning Player Show, rep for our matinee performance, rep for our night performance, and then rep back into the Player Show. I was responsible for running the shows, prepping and being present at tech days, and maintaining the space. Memorable shows included: Mary’s Wedding; The Marvelous Wonderettes; & The Doyle & Debbie Show. During that time I also had the pleasure of lighting designing for The Barter Players! Shows included: The Jungle Book & A Wrinkle in Time.

August 24, 2014 – November 25, 2014

I worked at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as an Installation & Deconstruction Technician for their premier annual events of Howl-O-Scream & Christmastown. I learned so much at this job, from new rigging techniques to driving a boom lift. Loved every minute! Pictured is the Compass Tree. The Compass Tree is one of the parks highlights during Christmastown. I was a part of covering that tree with hundreds of strands of Christmas lights.
